Event Management

Problem Management

Integration can help, but it’s expensive and another point of failure. The Project Management Application can be configured with workflow to create Tasks and other types of ‘Tickets’ that your staff need to work on. The status and updates are automatically available in the context of the Projects saving you time and effort to generate status reports. Automated actions such as SLA monitoring on Tasks and Tickets and alerting can also be configured. Ad-hoc tasks and Tickets that are generated can also be easily related back to Projects therefore providing a complete picture of the status and the labor that is consumed by the Project.

Purchase Management

Radaptive provides a full fledged Purchase Management system that can be used to supplement any Corporate procurement system that may be required for IT and Technology Operations. It leverages the information from the Vendor and Contracts Management Applications also. You can create and track Purchase Requisition, Approvals, Purchase Order generation and Fulfillment as well. The Purchase Order Application also integrates with ERP Applications including Oracle Financials, SAP and Ariba.

SLA Management

Radaptive’s configurable SLA Management Application provides you the flexibility to track ‘service levels’ for any of the Application that are created on the Radaptive platform. Operating thresholds can be set at any of the ‘Statuses’ and will then be monitored by the system for violation. Violations can be communicated via reports and alerts. Hierarchical escalation rules can also be configured using the Radaptive Business Rules engine.

Asset Lifecycle Management

Radaptive’s powerful workflow engine uses the Asset Information to manage the Lifecyle of Assets. Automatically track activities from Pre-Procurement(creating and obtaining business justification approval) to Procurement, Shipment, Receipt, Racking and Stacking, MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes), Retire,Decommission and Disposal of all your IT Assets. The similar capability exists for all Non-IT related Assets as well.

Vendor management

Typically Vendor Management functions are handled at the corporate level and any need beyond that will either be met through integration efforts and/or through home grown systems. Vendor management capabilities form the basis for other functions in Technology Operations, such as Contract Management. Tracking Vendors will allow you to easily add functionality that can automate routine tasks for instance, automatically emailing service incidents when they occur. Radaptive provides an out-of-the box template which can be easily adapted to your needs, if required.


Radaptive’s provides a comprehensive data model that is used to capture and track Configuration Items (CI’s) at a very granular level. The data model together with the flexible nature of Radaptive’s workflow allows the relationships between the CI’s and their context to be available to any of the Applications that are generated on the Radaptive platform.
For Example : Integration with common CMDB’s from HP, BMC , IBM and OpenCMDB is also provided, in the event a customer wants to leverage any existing investment.

Contract Management

IT and Technology operations procure a number of Assets and Services from Service providers and vendors which may lie outside the corporate procurement system. In most instances, due to the nature of Financials and Procurement systems, it becomes hard to customize and configure them for the specific needs of IT and Technology Operations. The Contract Management application integrates with the common Financial and Procurement systems such as Oracle Financials and SAP to obtain the necessary information while allowing IT and Technical operations to manage the various contracts that need to be executed for the Assets and Services that are purchased. Questions such as ‘When does my Warranty’ for my Windows 2008 Servers from Vendor expire? can be easily answered.

Project Management

The Project Management Application can be configured with workflow to create Tasks and other types of ‘Tickets’ that your staff need to work on. The status and updates are automatically available in the context, saving you time and effort to generate status reports. Automated actions such as SLA monitoring on Tasks and Tickets and alerting can also be configured. Ad-hoc tasks and Tickets generated are related back to Projects providing a complete picture of the status and the labor consumed by the Project.

App creator

One of the powerful underpinnings of the Radaptive Platform is the capability to modify an existing Application or create a new one if it is required. Applications can be generated on the fly without writing code . It uses a patent pending meta data model to integrate all the Applications that are generated in back-end, thus providing the capability to provide a holistic view of your operations. Business logic is enabled via the Business Rules engine, which does not require coding either. It uses SQL and HQL to construct simple and very complex data manipulation rules. Configuring the rules are done by GUI driven, point and click actions.

Radaptive has embedded Jasper Reporting engine into the platform. The result of the integration is that all the data that is captured is readily available for reporting and analysis purposes. The data can be easily imported into the available Data ware house and combined with other data for advanced analysis and reporting as well as for advanced analysis and reporting as well. Radaptive provides an Operational dashboard that can be used as is or can be configured according to your needs. Radaptive also provides a list of commonly used reports in IT and Technology Operations. These can again be modified or enhanced and new reports can be generated as well.

Knowledge base

Radaptive ‘Captures work as it happens’ and makes this information available in the context of the issue or problem on a continuous basis. The resulting knowledge can be accessed by your staff at any point in the system and help with the issue or problem resolution. Radaptive also provides access to 3rd party repositories, including search capability through Search Engines including Google and Yahoo. Since the information that is gathered is very detailed and organized chronologically, it can serve as a training tool to help quick transfer of knowledge. The knowledge repository can also be exposed via the Radaptive API’s for integration with external systems.

Yammer and Twitter integration

Radaptive provides integration with Yammer and Twitter to enable exchange of messages and status information related to Tickets and Cases. The business rules can be configured for automated actions from these sources as well. Actions could include Approval of Chang Requests, Escalations etc.,

Social CRM integration

Radaptive integrates with services including Twitter to either initiate Tickets or provide status updates to Tickets. Critical and time sensitive information can be disseminated without the need for a user to login to the system.

Real Time Messaging

Radaptive enables real time messaging through a highly scalable publish/subscribe design. The real time messaging enables users to be kept up to date on time sensitive information with quick and easy access to the information. This is useful especially in situations where users need to monitor events and activities, for example during rolling out Change Requests.

Inbound and outbound emails

Every Application that is generated via the Application creator provides the capability to process Inbound and Outbound Emails. The emails that are destined for the application can be fetched from an appropriate mail box and can be processed by business rules that can be configured for the application. The emails can be used to create a new record in the application or update the applications ‘message logs’ with information in the body of the email. Similarly, outbound emails can be generated from the Applications either through workflow or manual actions. Business rules can be set to generate the various outbound emails. Each application can also be set up with Email Templates for quick and repeated broadcast of emails to pre-determined or ad-hoc list of users. An HTML WYSIWYG editor is also integrated to compose messages in an HTML format.

Configurable intelligent actions

Radaptive’s powerful and easy to use rules engine provides the capability to define the business logic. The resulting intelligent actions range from simple to very complex actions that can be configured using meta data and point and click actions and without writing any code. Radaptive also provides pre-built actions that can be included into the Applications with a click of a button.

Scriptable intelligent actions

Radaptive has enabled easy access to the internals of the system by providing the capability to use scripting languages such as Python and PERL. An advanced user can easily create scripts that can then be controlled by the Rules engine. This capability allows an administrator to create scripts to provide additional isolated actions that may be necessary as a part of the Operational environment.

Telephony integration

Radaptive integrates with ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) systems to enable quick and automated access to Tickets and Cases when a call is routed to a Help Desk or a Service Agent. In addition, workflow actions can also be triggered via integration. Integration with IP Telephony services such as Twilio enables an agent to initiate calls automatically using workflow or manual actions. The resulting communication can also be optionally recorded and saved in the context of the Ticket or the Case than an agent might be working on. This provides additional compliance capabilities, in addition to capturing the ‘knowledge’ in the context of the Ticket or the cases.

Process integration

Radaptive’s workflow configurator can be used for developing processes. The workflow configurator uses the Business Rules and the Meta data and provides the capability to design very complex processes which may include managing related activities, dependant activities, parallel tasks, parent-child relationships, escalations etc. Flexibility and adaptability is further provided by being able to define any number of states for different applications and allowing the workflow configurator to take advantage of this function. The rich set of REST API’s and the use of SQL ,HQL and scripting capability including PERL and Python allows Radaptive to interact with other Applications.

Multiple account management

Radaptive provides a local store to manage user accounts. The product also integrates with LDAP, Active Directory and Open LDAP which are most common in enterprises. Radaptive’s open architecture also allows for integration with home grown SSO applications.

App customization

Any Application that is generated by the Application Creator can be quickly customized without writing code and by simply reconfiguring or manipulating the meta-data. This is the same process that can be used to quickly modify the Application Templates that Radaptive provides out-of-the box. The customization can be made at any level, including adding new fields, hiding old ones, enhancing or modifying the business rules and workflow actions. The modifications to the Applications can be migrated seamlessly to a working environment through push button actions. Radaptive also provides a sophisticated Development-to-Production process and migration tools to ensure that your releases are smooth.

Report customization

Radaptive has provided easy access to all the operational data by integrating a reporting engine into the product. While Radaptive provides a comprehensive list of pre-canned commonly used reports, an easy to use graphical interface will enable advanced users to produced more complex reports. There are various options to deliver the information to the users using the reporting engine, which include dashboards, pdf’s, excel and email.

Barcode or QR code scanning

The Radaptive platform provides integration to Bar code and QR Scanners. The capability is primarily used for Asset Management . The integration is enabled through Radaptive’s REST API’s which allow information to be uploaded either in Real Time or in a batch mode. The common use cases for the Bar code and QR code integrations are for receipt of Shipped Assets to Data Centers and other locations as well as tracking of Asset moves within an specified location. The integration also allows real time query of Asset information that might be needed for making time sensitive decisions.
